About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Modern Trade Sales Manager to drive AGRAVAT® expansion across organized retail chains, pharmacy chains, and wellness stores in India.
This role requires strong expertise in Modern Trade account management, retail negotiations, category expansion, and in-store execution.
The candidate will be responsible for building strategic partnerships and driving sales, visibility, and distribution for our OTC product portfolio, including:
* Oral Care
* Personal Care
* Vitamins & Nutraceutical Supplements
Key Responsibilities
1. Modern Trade Business Development
* Develop and expand AGRAVAT® presence across Modern Trade retail chains.
* Identify and onboard supermarkets, pharmacy chains, and wellness retail stores.
* Build long-term partnerships with key Modern Trade accounts.
2. Key Account Management
* Manage relationships with national and regional retail chains.
* Negotiate commercial terms, margins, and listing agreements.
* Drive SKU expansion and new product listings across retail chains.
3. Retail Execution & Visibility
* Ensure strong shelf visibility, product placement, and merchandising standards.
* Coordinate with retail stores for promotions, displays, and in-store activations.
* Track stock availability, replenishment, and inventory movement across outlets.
4. Sales Growth & Target Achievement
* Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual Modern Trade sales targets.
* Drive secondary sales growth across retail stores.
* Monitor sell-through performance and ensure strong SKU performance.
5. Trade Promotions & Category Development
* Plan and execute trade promotions and retail marketing campaigns.
* Track promotion ROI and optimize trade investments.
* Support category growth across Oral Care, Personal Care, and Nutraceutical portfolios.
6. Market Insights & Reporting
* Monitor competitor activity, pricing, and promotional strategies across retail chains.
* Analyze retail sales data and generate periodic performance reports.
* Identify opportunities for product expansion and category leadership.
Candidate Profile
* Experience: 5–10 years in Modern Trade Sales
* Experience in FMCG / Nutraceutical / Pharma OTC categories preferred
* Strong network with organized retail chains and pharmacy retail networks
* Excellent negotiation and key account management skills
* Strong understanding of merchandising, retail execution, and category management
